Dawn’s professional path has deep roots because of her experiences and natural interests from early childhood. As a child, she began painting and drawing portraits and very soon discovered she was fascinated by the features of the face. Then, as an adolescent, she suffered from severe acne, which impacted her self-esteem, leading to her desire to understand skin wellness.

Her first job, working for a prestigious national branded cosmetics company, trained her in cosmetic techniques for enhancing beautification for many types of women. Continued training at Manhattan Hairstyle Academy. She is trained in advanced skills for hairstyling, airbrush, and special effects make-up for theater and stage.

She has been a professional makeup artist for film, fashion, and print for over ten years.
Her work has been seen on Television (HBO), in film, in fashion, and in print, and she has worked as a licensed esthetician for over fifteen years. Her esthetic career and nursing study took her to work with plastic and cosmetic surgeries. Dawn received further training and certifications in scar revision and post-surgery care. Fascinated with all treatments, especially laser, Dawn proceeded to receive more certifications and licenses in laser technology.

Now an owner of a successful medspa and cosmetic surgery center, Enlighten Skin and Body Medspa, Dawn has learned many secrets to looking one’s best. She believes in the positive effects of mind, spirit, and science. She continues to study natural and homeopathic methods from many sources to provide choices and options to clients seeking to heal and maintain health. Dawn’s combined twenty years of experience working as a national trainer recognize her as an expert in her field. She works as a consultant and offers public speaking services to other professionals. Dawn’s primary motivation is to enlighten ( to give knowledge), to brighten( to bring light to others), and show she cares about what is essential to her clients.
